Slow Motion. A selection of published artworks from Peacock Print Studio 2010 – 2016

Aberdeen’s Peacock Visual Arts displays new artworks published in the studio over a 7 years period. Artists include Claire Barclay, John Byrne, Mike Giant, Tom Hammick, Janice Kerbel, Scott Myles, David Noonan, Toby Paterson, Ralph Steadman, Donald Urquhart, Frances Walker and many more.

Exhibition opening: Thursday 23 February, 6pm-8pm. All welcome
Exhibition Opening hours: Tuesday-Saturday 12noon-4pm

Workshops:
Relief printing. Thursday 2 March and Thursday 9 March, 2-5pm (repeat of the same workshop)
Run by master printmaker Michael Waight, you will learn all about the special technique of relief printing, with a typographical based theme.
£35/£30. Early booking recommended, spaces are limited.

Tea and Tour: Thursday 2nd March 12-1pm and Thursday 9th March 12-1pm
Join members of The Barn’s gallery committee for an informal tour of the exhibition with refreshments.

Family Fun Day: Saturday 18th March 12-4pm Exhibition Explorers. Fun for all the family. Explore our current gallery exhibition ‘Slow Motion’ and create your own artwork using a variety of techniques and materials. Free, just drop in.

‘The Future of Peacock Visual Arts’ Peacock Visual Arts has been around for 40 years, growing from a printmaking studio into a contemporary visual arts centre with a wide programme of events. Newly appointed director Nuno Sacramento will be talking about where he sees Aberdeen’s Peacock Visual Arts going next.

‘Gallery Focus with Michael Agnew’, Course Leader in Contemporary Art Practice at Gray’s School of Art: Michael Agnew, will talk us through the artworks on show in the Peacock Visual Arts exhibition Slow Motion, as contributing artist, printmaker, and teacher.
