Artists, their practice and our different spaces (performing space, gallery, wild garden) are at the centre of Woodend Barn’s schools’ programme. We believe that working alongside artists, surrounded by different artforms, encourages students to think creatively and independently.

Our programme of schools activities and resources is devised by our education and outreach officer. We encourage teachers to consider taking part in these activities to augment and support their student visits to the gallery.

Schools can get involved in 2 different ways.

Plan and book a school visit to Woodend Barn

School visits to Woodend Barn are free. Contact us if you would like to arrange a visit. This can be for a tour of our current exhibition in the gallery or to meet the artists in residence or to attend a performance (costs may apply for performances, but we discount as heavily as possible for schools). We arrange each visit bespoke for you so please do not hesitate in getting in touch to book your visit today.

Schools Workshop Programme

We often organise workshops linked to our programme. Our education officer will get in touch with you to discuss the different opportunities available. If you’d like to make sure you are on our schools mailing list please contact us here or check back here for workshop opportunities.
